GIVE Atlanta Campaign Sponsored by Giveffect
Recently, Giveffect was honored to sponsor the GIVE Atlanta, a publication that serves as a guide to charitable giving in the Atlanta area in for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. The guide is published by Atlanta magazine. In the pages of the guide, the GIVE Atlanta Challenge is highlighted. GIVE Atlanta is an annual fundraising competition hosted by Atlanta magazine and Funraise, where charities compete to raise the most money. The top nonprofits win cash grants and other prizes, and donors can receive prizes.
GIVE Atlanta benefits Georgia nonprofits that sign up for the challenge. At the end of the campaign, the top three organizations that have raised the most funds are awarded a cash prize on top of the money the collected. Which is even more of an incentive for Atlanta and Georgia nonprofits to participate. This year’s GIVE Atlanta Challenge started on October 16 and runs through November 16. It is the chance for several nonprofit organizations to participate in a unique, local fundraising challenge that will spark their base of support and move them all closer to the goals that each organization has set for itself.
For Giveffect, it is a true honor to be a sponsor of such a worthwhile cause. The GIVE Atlanta challenge puts Atlanta’s and Georgia’s nonprofit organizations at the forefront and gives them the opportunity to come up with creative ways to get more people involved in giving. 21 nonprofit organizations participated in the 2017 Challenge, giving people many chances to contribute to the several valuable organizations.
A quick breakdown of some of the facts and figures about the 2017 GIVE Atlanta Challenge are:

-Top finisher Furkids raised $69,182
-2017 Total Impact: $234,090
-Average amount raised per active charity in 2017: $7,532
“We can’t express how proud we are to be part of the GIVE Atlanta campaign, which has already accomplished so much in a very short period of time,” says Anna McDaniel, Lead Nonprofit Business Development Consultant for Giveffect. “Even though we have only been here for a short time, we know how important the nonprofit community is here in Atlanta. And we want to do all that we can to positively contribute to the success of each organization that is involved in GIVE Atlanta. It’s so cool to know that Giveffect is helping to contribute to such an amazing and worthwhile cause.”
In 2018, the campaign is primed to grow even bigger and better. With 24 organizations now participating until November 16, there will be ample opportunities to give to some of Atlanta’s most vital and needed nonprofit organizations.
