NTEN and 18NTC: Tips and Tricks for First Time Attendees
The 2018 Nonprofit Technology Conference, or 18NTC, presented by the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) and sponsored in part by Giveffect, is a chance for attendees to connect with existing clients and make new connections. It’s a chance to build new relationships and gain the most comprehensive information about advances in technology for nonprofits. And for first-timers, it’s a chance to connect with subject matter experts and industry leaders from many backgrounds. There will be a lot of ground to cover, and for Giveffect, several of our team members will be attending 18NTC for the first time.
NTEN has provided a number of great resources for those attending their very first NTC Conference. And on their webpage, they have commissioned a veteran of NTC to give a list of tips and tricks on how to best enjoy this year’s conference, and what to do to get the most out of the experience. Cindy Leonard is a veteran of 11 NTC conferences and will be making her 12th trip, this year to New Orleans. In a recent article posted on NTEN.org, which was originally published on Cindy’s website, she gives out some gems for first-time attendees to use in making the most of their 18NTC experience, including:
-Take notes on business cards you receive from others
-Make the most of breakout sessions
-Plan you strategy in advance to visit exhibits
-Meet as many people as you can
Are you also a first-timer to 18NTC? Then this link to the full article is just for you. See you in New Orleans!
