About This Campaign

Our ReStore hours of operation for all of our ReStore locations are Monday - Saturday 10 am - 5:30 pm and Sundays 11 am - 4 pm.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with:

maintenance of the store
organization of merchandise
receiving (unloading and loading donated materials and merchandise)
data entry
promotions (distribution, mailings, etc.)
REGULAR VOLUNTEERS!! (committing to a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly schedule)

Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley

Campaign to Support Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley

The Habitat for Humanity of the Roaring Fork Valley provides an option for low income families who otherwise would not be able to afford a simple decent home of their own, using conventional or low interest loans. Homes are sold with an affordable mortgage; monthly payments based on 29% of the household income are paid to Habitat. Monthly mortgage payments go into a revolving "Fund for Humanity" that is used to build more houses. 

Additional funding comes from tax-deductible donations of money and materials. Volunteers provide much of the construction labor, working alongside partner families. Habitat for Humanity is a hand-up not a hand-out. Partner families invest 250 hours of their own labor - sweat equity - into building their home and the homes of others alongside of volunteers and the Habitat construction team. 

As a result, the following program outcomes are produced: • Habitat brings the community of need together with the contributors, supporters, pre-qualified homeowners, and volunteers to build a better community by eliminating poverty housing. • Habitat provides families with a stable and growing base of financial security.• Habitat provides a permanent and lasting solution to a family's housing crisis.  • Habitat for Humanity is a movement of people who build more than houses. By bringing homeowners together with volunteers, donors, community leaders, foundations, churches, and hundreds of other supporters, Habitat builds stable families, safe neighborhoods, and caring communities.• Habitat helps to break the cycle of poverty by giving families the opportunity to become self-sufficient through home-ownership.
