Arresting Hunger 2019

Arresting Hunger 2019

About This Campaign

Law enforcement from across the State of Iowa are collaborating again in 2019 to raise funds and meals to fight food insecurity through the “Arresting Hunger” campaign. The funds raised are utilized to provide Thanksgiving meal kits to families in need throughout Iowa and provide funding to Iowa food banks.

One in six Iowa children are food insecure, and every dollar donated helps fight that insecurity by yielding four meals. As police officers are committed to serving our communities, they are also dedicated to making a positive impact through their efforts surrounding “Arresting Hunger.”

There are three ways you can give – giving online, giving by check (made out to “Food Bank of Iowa,” with the words “Arresting Hunger” in the memo line), or giving cash (by filling out an envelope that will be secured and sent to the Food Bank of Iowa). These donations will qualify for a charitable contribution deduction.

Thank you in advance for your support of Arresting Hunger!

Campaign to Support Food Bank of Iowa

At the Food Bank of Iowa, we’re dedicated to ending hunger in Iowa—for each one of the 175,000 children, families, and seniors we serve. With your help, we can.

95.9 cents of every dollar donated to Food Bank of Iowa supports our food distribution programs. By keeping administrative services expenses (1.1%) and fundraising expenses (3%) low, we can provide 4 meals for every dollar contributed to Food Bank of Iowa.

Together, we can solve hunger.
