How You Can Help: The COVID-19 Response Fund

About This Campaign

Foodlink is taking action to prioritize the health and safety of our staff, partners, and clients by enacting serious risk-reduction measures in response to COVID-19 concerns in our region. It is our priority to keep our community healthy while positioning ourselves to ensure all our neighbors have access to food and other basic needs.

Efforts related to emergency food and healthy meal distribution will increase significantly in the weeks ahead. We have assessed our inventory and are adding critical food and hygiene staples in preparation for packing “food bundles” that will be made accessible to agencies and emergency sites in our region. The Foodlink Community Kitchen will be producing thousands of extra meals to distribute at R Centers and schools in the coming weeks.

Community support will ensure thousands of seniors, adults, and children experiencing food insecurity have access to nutritious food in this time of uncertainty and great need.

Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.

Campaign to Support Foodlink

Foodlink is the Feeding America food bank serving Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties. For more than 40 years, we have leveraged the power of food to end hunger and build healthier communities. Through good stewardship, innovation and collaboration, Foodlink mobilizes a diverse network of community partners to eradicate both the symptoms and root causes of hunger. Foodlink’s community health programs provide new access points to nutritious and affordable food in under served communities. We empower individuals and families to make healthy choices through nutrition education initiatives. Our food banking operations distribute millions of pounds of food to a network of nonprofit members. The Foodlink Community Kitchen nourishes thousands of children daily with healthy meals, slices locally grown apples, and prepares people for culinary careers through a one-of-a-kind career empowerment program.
