Even as the economy begins to slowly reopen, we know the effects of COVID-19 will be felt long into the future and our neighbors will continue to need our help.
Before the COVID-19 crisis, Food Bank of Iowa distributed over 5,000 BackPack sacks each week and supplied over 100 school pantries with food to feed families in need. Many congregate meal sites have shuttered leaving seniors on fixed incomes without consistent access to food. And families will continue to have to make hard decisions as they try and get back on their feet.
Food Bank of Iowa will continue working hard to safely get food to our friends and neighbors in need. Unfortunately, we know the need for our services will continue to grow as Iowans get back to work, and there is a long road ahead.
We are grateful for your donations. Your support ensures Food Bank of Iowa can continue providing quality, nutritious food to Iowans in need – especially during these challenging times.
Thank you for continuing to help us help others.
