When you donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County, you join our youth mentoring cause and help build a better future for children facing adversity in your community. No matter the amount, you can make a BIG difference in the life of a child and help them reach their potential!

Together, we can make BIG things happen!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County

Campaign to Support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County serves children 6 - 18 from single parent, foster, kinship, group and other non traditional homes with carefully screened and trained mentors to help them stay in school, off drugs, out of gangs and point them on a positive path to becoming productive adults in our community. By putting a caring volunteer into the life of a child we help them care about themselves and their future. Each match between a child and their mentor has clearly defined and measurable goals and objectives based on input provided by the child, parent/legal guardian and the volunteer. Professional staff help each match achieve their goals by providing insights, referrals when needed, and guidance for the entire length of the match. Although we ask for a one year commitment from the volunteers, many last a lifetime.

MEET KARLA & JEN

When they first met, Jen was having problems with school. Today, she is a confident young lady on the honor roll!

Karla and Jen decided that they "need to look outside ourselves and help others." Over the holidays, they worked with their favorite yogurt shop and served freeyogurt to the homeless.

Not only has Karla made a BIG difference in Jen's life but, together, they are changing their community for the better!
