Get the BIG Van Rolling!
About This Campaign
...BBSVC will be able to broaden more horizons for the youth we serve by taking them on college tours and enrichment activities.
...We'll help families access the services our programs provide.
...We'll be able to open the door to experiences in STEM industries with career field trips.
...and, currently, BBSVC youth mentors in Fillmore must walk up to 2 miles in order to visit their Littles. With the help of a van, these high school Bigs will be able to spend more time with the children they mentor!
Can you imagine what a BIG impact a multi-passenger van will make for BBSVC? Help us reach our goal: donate today and share this link with your friends!
Campaign to Support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County serves children 6 - 18 from single parent, foster, kinship, group and other non traditional homes with carefully screened and trained mentors to help them stay in school, off drugs, out of gangs and point them on a positive path to becoming productive adults in our community. By putting a caring volunteer into the life of a child we help them care about themselves and their future. Each match between a child and their mentor has clearly defined and measurable goals and objectives based on input provided by the child, parent/legal guardian and the volunteer. Professional staff help each match achieve their goals by providing insights, referrals when needed, and guidance for the entire length of the match. Although we ask for a one year commitment from the volunteers, many last a lifetime.
