Volunteer Service Trip: Cambodia

Volunteer Service Trip: Cambodia

About This Campaign

Cambodia has a rich and powerful history that plays a significant role into what and why we are doing water projects here.  When you sign up for a trip to Cambodia, you will learn about the implications of the recent genocide, then head into the rice fields of the Svay Rieng province to do something about it, by providing a well for a family.  Volunteers will also be able to dig a latrine for a family, teach hygiene lessons, follow-up with past well/latrine recipients, build relationships with dorm students as you teach English, and learn more about water sanitation, in the city of Phnom Penh.  An unforgettable experience!

Trip Cost and Fees:

  • $1,000 per person
  • Airfare: Purchased on your own
  • Visa Requirements: $20+ Tourist Visa Entry & $20+ Exit Fee

*Cost is based on a 10-day trip and includes all food, housing, ground transportation, overseas medical insurance, and project materials. If a trip extends longer than the dates listed a charge of $100/person/day will be charged. A $250 non-refundable deposit for the total trip cost is due upon registration. Wine To Water

Campaign to Support Wine To Water

We're a small team based in Boone, NC, who believes ordinary people, in community, can make an extraordinary difference in the world.  This movement began in 2004 when our founder, Doc Hendley, while bartending in Raleigh, NC, learned about the world’s water crisis.  Once captured by the cause, Doc felt the need to do something about it.  So, he did. He did what he knew best…pour some wine, beer, and spirits, play some music, and have a great time with friends. When it was all said and done, a few thousand dollars was raised due to the generosity of the community.  With some money in hand, Doc soon found himself in Darfur, in the midst of a war, working to provide clean water to those who were in desperate need in desperate times.  Thus, Wine To Water was born.
