Dr. Leslie-Ann Hales, English professor, recent retired after serving King's for more than 30 years. Dr. Hales, the first woman faculty member at King’s, began serving as a professor in 1980. Her leadership and scholarship in woman’s equality have profoundly impacted the university college and helped to pave the road for other women leaders at King's, including our new president, Dr. Melanie Humphreys.
We want to honour Dr. Hales’ contribution to King’s by launching a scholarship in her name. This scholarship will help students offset the costs of university education as they work to complete their degree.
Your gift will help us toward our ultimate goal of raising $25,000 to endow a scholarship that will award $1,000 annually in perpetuity.
