Pate Home Dedication

About This Campaign

The nails are in place, the blocks are too….
We’re going to celebrate, but we need YOU!

Come celebrate Priscilla’s great act…
Of building a home with Habitat!

Priscilla has worked hard to build her dream. Please join us at 9704 Takomah Trail, Tampa, FL 33617, to celebrate her and to dedicate her home. We'll start with a prayer and then have our a representative from our home sponsor, Tampa Honda, talk about what it means to partner with Habitat. Priscilla will then say a few words about what it means to have a place to call home. We'll follow that up with a special Symbols of Life presentation. The finale will be two-fold: the presentation of the key to her home and a blessing of the home and family.

Campaign to Support Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County FL, Inc.

At Habitat for Humanity, we build. We build because we believe that everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. More than building homes, we build communities, we build hope and we build the opportunity for families to help themselves. Our goal is to help families break the cycle of poverty and build long-term financial security. With an affordable, stable home, families have more to spend on food, medicine, child care, education and other essentials. You can help us do more in all the many ways that Habitat builds. Let’s build– together.

Priscilla is a single mother who has worked to raise each of her children “to be loving and a caring person.” She has raised two adopted daughters and is currently raising her nephew and granddaughter on her own and has helped raise five of her brother’s ten children. Although she was the baby of the family, Priscilla has been the one who, in her own words “pulls my family back together.” Priscilla personifies what she is instilling in her family. To Priscilla, “home” means more than just a structure. It means a foundation for her and her family’s future. It means stability - not having to move whenever a landlord decides to sell the place in which they live. A home is something they can call their own. She would like to build a home with Habitat Hillsborough, so her children and grandchildren have a place they can call Grandma’s house.
