Help Alleviate Poverty from Our Community

About This Campaign

Once too often, we come across certain situations that probes us to take a step back and look at our surroundings. An adapt advocate against any aspect of poverty, it is very dear to my heart to see that every human being has the basic necessities in life and especially a roof over their heads. When we encounter certain situations, we realize how easily one can go from owning a home of their own to becoming homeless. This is particularly very heart wrenching when there are Children, the Elderly and Our Veterans involved. However, if we could all just come together as a community, Loving and genuinely caring for one another just as Christ Himself had thought us to, being our brother and sister's keeper, then our collective communities would be a better place to live in.Therefore, in a spirit of building a community worthy of our collective efforts and resources, let us please come together and support the beautiful work that Habitat for Humanity is doing to ensure that this ill is eradicated from our communities, by supporting a worthy cause. Please every dime counts, thus nothing is too small as a donation. Thanking everyone from the dept of my heart for your collective support.

Campaign to Support Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County, Inc.

Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Schenectady Habitat is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all. Established in 1993, Schenectady Habitat serves Schenectady County in New York State’s Capital Region. The organization is dedicated to making quality, affordable housing solutions available to low-income families. To date, more than 50 houses have been constructed and sold, in addition to 100+ other housing units repaired, for a total of more than 140 families served in Schenectady County.
