127 Cats Seized- We need your help! logo
Last week, the Nova Scotia SPCA Cruelty Investigators worked to remove 127 cats from a Dartmouth property. The cats were brought to the Provincial Animal Shelter, Kings County branch shelter, Colchester County branch shelter and Pictou County branch shelter. The 127 cats are all in the process of being spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia, dewormed, vaccinated, parasite treated and socialized. The resources that are needed to support these animals coming into our shelters are astronomical. Litter costs per day $50 and vaccines $60 per cat, each requiring two sets of vaccinations. The price of helping these animals find a new lease on life, priceless. Please consider giving to our shelters to help support us through this time. With Spring around the corner, we will yet again be full of new animals in need of our resources, time and compassion.
