About This Campaign

PG&E RED, WHITE & BOWL!!

We have never seen a more exciting bunch than our local PG&E employees! We were blown away last year when the Big Blue Wave filled our bowling alley with 21 teams! To our surprise this was just the beginning. This year PG&E has taken on the challenge of having their own Bowl For Kids' Sake event and aim to bring in 44 teams to help support our local children!

We are looking forward to having all of you join us in celebrating our 30th Annual Bowl For Kids' Sake! It is definitely one of the most amazing events you will ever participate in here in the Central Valley! Come dressed to impress and take a shot at winning a trip for two to Washington D.C. and many other amazing prizes, raffle, and games galore!!
As you can see everyone ROCKED the Hawaiian theme last year! This year's theme is Red, White & Bowl and we cannot wait to see how all of you will show your patriotism!! We are excited to see PG&E lead the Central Valley and show the rest of our nation what it means to stand as strong, proud Americans.

We here at Big Brothers Big Sisters' know, and witness the generosity of the American people every single day. We see the positive difference the people of our nation make in the lives of the children that would otherwise be regarded as, "not my issue." We are so grateful that our people step up and invest in the youth of our community and are willing to help them step into their greater potential.

We LOVE you America and may you always remain the land of the FREE and the BRAVE!!

**NOTE: Please save and submit your donation receipt to your team captains to have your donation matched by PG&E.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California

Campaign to Support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the largest, well-known, most researched and measured youth mentoring program in the United States. The heart of our program is a thoroughly screened adult volunteer mentor, known as a “Big”, matched with a child (“Little”) in a relationship that is carefully monitored and supported by our staff.

Here in Central California, our local, independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization has helped more than 10,000 youth since its inception in 1968. These children can benefit from extra attention and receive exposure to more life options than may be available in their own surroundings.

We partner with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving:

  • Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships
  • Avoidance of risky behavior
  • Educational success

Our local donor and volunteer supported agency formed in Fresno in 1968 and began mentoring services in 1969. Since that time, we have served over 10,000 children and their families. In 1997 satellite offices opened in Hanford and Madera to cover an expanded service area of Kings and Madera counties. Expanding yet again, in late 2007 we merged with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tulare County and changed the name to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California to reflect our new region. Today, we serve four counties in the Central Valley and serve over 1,000 children each year through our different programs.

Our program has been acknowledged and honored by the Juvenile Justice Commission, Fresno Police Department, Fresno County Probation Department, California Youth Authority, City of Fresno, The United Way of Fresno County, and the Governor’s Office. We received a 2005 Quality Award and a 2007 and 2008 Family Strengthening awards from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

In 2015, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California was one of 16 agencies to receive the National Gold Standard Award for their outstanding statistics and reaching all of their yearly goals.
