STEP Coalition Meeting Phase 1 for New Participants

STEP Coalition Meeting Phase 1 for New Participants

About This Campaign

Goodwill and Episcopal Community Services are inviting the community to join the STEP Coalition to bring together public officials, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, corporate employers, and Kansas City problem solvers & innovators. Our objective: to break the cycle of poverty by giving people the tools to get ahead – one step at a time.

Both Goodwill and Episcopal Community Services have worked with and met amazing people who need a hand up and the tools to be successful. We know they want to break away from the system and while Goodwill’s mission is to empower individuals to earn and keep employment, the crushing fear of the cliff upon which they stand can prevent them from taking the next step to independence. The goals are to remove income inequality, increase social capital and enhance family structure for everyone in Greater Kansas City. That’s why we are so passionate about STEP, Self-Sustainability Through Employment Programs.
