About This Campaign

Agape International Missions (AIM) has been fighting child sex trafficking in Cambodia since 2005. Motivated by their fight, True Image Salon and Spa set a date to join in. On Saturday, May 20th, the salon's team members have blocked out their normal schedules to contend for the children of Cambodia.

Owner Liliane Poppler has deemed to have a charity event annually at the salon, and she is keeping her word. Two years ago the salon launched their grand opening in April, while supporting the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment raising nearly one thousand dollars. Last year, Liliane was influenced by the return of one of her own stylist who spent two and half weeks working in Cambodia alongside the non-profit AIM. Upon the stylist's arrival back home, Liliane was astonished to learn that it is our own Western men victimizing these young girls, some even as young as four years of age. This sparked the 1st Ready, Set, AIM event, which was held last May.

Imprinted by the stories, the True Image Salon and Spa team decided to continue its efforts to help fight for freedom. In announcing their mission, they have received a great response from their own clients who have begun to donate baskets, gift cards, and a few who've committed to set up as vendors to give back for the day.

True Image Salon and Spa owner Liliane Poppler says, "My passion and dedication is to give back to the community that has given us so much, being supported by my team's collective effort of giving and making it happen." The support from the community thus far has built great anticipation for the salon team. The day of, AIM will have a table full of handmade items for purchase, each one made the women of Cambodia who've been rescued out of the sex trade. Adding their own touch, the salon will be selling blank cards where donors can write letters of encouragement to the girls. All in all, supporters can expect many options to give, including raffle prizes, food, silent auctions, vendors, and specialized salon services. The True Image Salon and Spa family is confident that the support of this event will continue to grow, although their expectations have already been seized.

Campaign to Support Agape International Missions

Agape International Missions (AIM) has served Cambodia for 28 years and fought trafficking since 2005, starting with a Restoration Home for 20 rescued girls. Now, with 12 projects on the ground that impact over 10,000 people every year, AIM programs are stopping the cycle of exploitation by preventing trafficking and rescuing, restoring and reintegrating survivors. Our goal is to defeat the evil of sex trafficking. This is done through a holistic strategy of fighting trafficking, restoring victims and transforming communities.
