South Suburban Humane Society is a self-operating 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We receive no funds from any government body or national animal welfare organization, operating entirely on individual donations and grants.
In 2016, the SSHS Spay/Neuter Clinic performed nearly 5,000 surgeries. Over 3,000 pets were adopted from the shelter and offsite events. On top of that, we reported a 93% save rate and did not euthanize a single pet for space-related reasons.
We think that's something to be proud of, and couldn't have done it without our friends, companions, allies.
Supporters like you are the backbone of our organization.
