The Joy Ride

About This Campaign

A message from Doc:
"Sometimes I get overwhelmed thinking about where the good lord has brought Wine To Water these past 13 years. I'm grateful to be able to be apart of such an amazing team and even more grateful that God has chosen a bunch of rough around the edges, regular folks to do His work.

During the month of October, I'll be riding my motorcycle around the country for a number of W|W events and along the way I'd love to be able to meet up with as many people as I can. Whether you've been a W|W volunteer, part of a chapter, or have even just shown up at a W|W event, I'd love to grab a hot cup of coffee or a cold beer with you.

Above, is a rough idea of the route I will be taking. I leave this Thursday the 28th of September from Greensboro and will be riding along the route on the map till I get back to Boone on the 28th of October. If you live anywhere near this route, hit me up!

PS- If you have a motorcycle and have some free time on your hands, feel free to reach out to figure out where we are and join in on the ride for as little or as long as you would like. If you decide to ride with us for more than just a day ride... bring a tent."

Campaign to Support Wine To Water

We're a small team based in Boone, NC, who believes ordinary people, in community, can make an extraordinary difference in the world.  This movement began in 2004 when our founder, Doc Hendley, while bartending in Raleigh, NC, learned about the world’s water crisis.  Once captured by the cause, Doc felt the need to do something about it.  So, he did. He did what he knew best…pour some wine, beer, and spirits, play some music, and have a great time with friends. When it was all said and done, a few thousand dollars was raised due to the generosity of the community.  With some money in hand, Doc soon found himself in Darfur, in the midst of a war, working to provide clean water to those who were in desperate need in desperate times.  Thus, Wine To Water was born.
