Homewood Adoption Center
A fundraising campaign for South Suburban Humane Society.

About This Campaign
Thanks to a generous donor who wants to remain anonymous, SSHS acquired the former Homewood Animal Hospital located at 2207 183rd St. in Homewood. SSHS is in the process of turning it into the Homewood Adoption Center!
The HAC will house 30-45 dogs and 20 cats for adoption, nearly doubling the capacity of the SSHS for dog space. There will be an in-house spay/neuter surgical suite so that we can get pets ready for adoption more quickly and provide increased trap/spay-neuter-return services to the public in the future as well.
The HAC will help SSHS save 800-1000 more pets' lives per year!! There are fairly extensive renovation costs and through this campaign, we're seeking to raise the first year's operational costs as well. We know that we can achieve this with our community's support!

Campaign to Support South Suburban Humane Society
The South Suburban Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the well-being of animals in Chicago's south suburbs. Through the care and sheltering of animals needing protection, investigative practices which will prevent abuse, education of the public as to ownership duties and responsibilities, vetted and thorough adoption services, and targeted, high-impact spay/neuter policies, the South Suburban Humane Society will make every effort towards ending animal homelessness, reducing pet overpopulation, and ending cruel, inhumane treatment and abuse towards pets.

My husband and I have adopted 7 cats and 3 dogs from SSHS since 1993. Our lives have truly been enriched by every one of them. We are happy to support SSHS and the new Homewood Adoption Center. -
