Options Mississauga Print and Office Services
About This Organization
Our mission is to prepare individuals who have an intellectual disability with the skills necessary to obtain meaningful employment in the community. We support about 40 individuals at any one time who learn employment skills training in our retail printing shop. Options Mississauga Print and Office Services is a not-for-profit charity operating as a social enterprise. We have operated in Port Credit since 1993. Our business model is exciting - the people we support train alongside regular employees in a retail business in an integrated community setting. Our core program is designed to help train individuals with the skills they need to integrate into the workforce. This training includes business etiquette (dealing with customers, punctuality, personal presentation, etc.) and involves tasks such as answering phones, using a cash register, photocopying and using computers. Our primary service is printing, which includes colour and black & white copies, digital or offset printing for business cards, postcards, flyers, brochures, large format printing and much more. High-quality digital offset printers are used for high volume or specialized projects. In addition to printing we offer many other business services.Much of the work that we do for the local Port Credit business community is the design and printing of business cards. Our current business card slitting machine is slow, and needs a lot of attention. We would very much benefit from a faster, higher capacity and more accurate cutter. The sale priced HS-2000-AB Business Card Slitter (CA$3,695.00) would very much improve this aspect of our daily business.
