A Message From Dan Tranter

I have the opportunity to travel to Nepal with Wine To Water in September. Wine To Water is a non-profit organization based out of Boone, NC and is dedicated to providing clean water to many villages and people in various parts of the world where resources are lacking. They have helped over 400,000 people in 24 countries gain access to clean water.

Nearly 663 million people lack access to clean water and another 2.4 billion people lack access to adequate sanitation. Wine to Water is devoted to fighting this crisis.

Wine to Water started working in Nepal after the massive earthquakes that rocked the country and killed more than 8,000 people in April of 2015. Millions have been left without access to clean water and have turned to drinking straight from the streets and fields. Water filtration and clean water capturing (rainwater) are a desperate need as people try to cope with the rebuilding of their lives. I was able to travel to Nepal earlier this year and take part in these relief efforts - on that trip we focused on building clean water wells such for villages in remote areas where it has never been readily available, as well as distributed bio-sand filters to families to use and maintain in their homes. I'm pleased to have this amazing opportunity to go back and continue to serve the people of Nepal...will you please pray for me and the team, and consider partnering with us in terms of financial support?

"MY EFFORTS ARE GOING TO BE A DROP IN THE BUCKET, BUT IF I WOULD HAVE NEVER TAKEN THAT STEP BECAUSE IT WAS TOO BIG OF A PROBLEM, THEN WE WOULDN'T BE ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW." -DOC HENDLEY, FOUNDER

Volunteer Service Trip: Nepal

About This Campaign

The Saturday morning earthquake, back in April 2015, devastated the country of Nepal. Wine To Water was able to responded quickly to this natural disaster by having a team on the ground within a few days to help provide clean water to tens of thousands of people. With all that has been accomplished, the work is far from over. When you land in Nepal, you will have the rare opportunity to learn about redevelopment, experience water projects first-hand, such as digging wells, constructing rainwater harvesting systems, making bio-sand filters, and performing monitoring and evaluation procedures on some of these projects. This is an experience you will never forget and one that you will truly grow from.
