Hike for Charity

About This Campaign

How the Hike for Charity works: It’s the same as the Mayors walk; gather pledges to participate, the minimum pledge to participate is $25. 50% of your pledges go towards supporting the registered non-profit organization of your choice, the other 50% goes towards Volunteer Thunder Bay’s and it’s programs. VTB Members receive 60% of funds raised. Please note: your charity must be according to government regulations a registered charity in order for Volunteer Thunder Bay to share in the fundraising efforts. On the day of the event, come out and enjoy a 3 km, 5 km, or 10 km walk around Centennial Park. Once finished there will be a picnic style event that will include entertainment, and refreshments for your enjoyment as thanks for your contribution. Check our web site and facebook event page for updates. No registration fee for children 12 & under. Tips: Pets are welcome, but they must be on a leash and under control at all times. Poop scooping will be required. Last minute decision to come join the fun? A $25 donation makes you eligible to participate. Have fun!

Camp Gitchigomee has been a place of fun, learning, and renewal for me for the past 20 years! This picture was taken around the campfire of an Intermediate week in 2010.
