A Message From Mark Cannon

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read through some information about an organization that I am very proud to represent. As you may know, I have been a Big Brother w/ Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Mercer County for over 8 years now. Through that time, I have been lucky enough to have been paired with Kai who has been as influential and helpful in my growth as a person as I hope I have been for him. Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to be asked to join the Board of Directors for this amazing organization. In my time on the Board, my respect for both BBBS and its staff has grown tremendously and I feel more thankful than ever to be part of it on a daily basis.

BBBS is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. The link below, Darryl's Story, sums up the value that BBBS brings to the lives of children everywhere daily.

With this said, like every charitable organization, we need funding to continue our mission. My ask is that you consider taking the 2015 Car Raffle Challenge in support of BBBS. Only 1,499 will be sold and for every $100 donation, you get a chance to win a brand new 2016 BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes. You choose from six models! The drawing will be held at the Salt Creek Grille in Forrestal Village on October 2 at 8pm.

Please help in any way you can.

Thanks,
Mark

Car Raffle Challenge 2015

About This Event

Congratulations to East Brunswick psychologist Anna Marie Resnikoff, the winner of our 2015 luxury car raffle.  Anna met one of our board members at a conference in 2010 and learned from him about the work we do with children in Mercer County. She has been a loyal player of our cash and car raffles ever since and won on ticket number 711, which is her birthday. A total of 1,117 tickets were sold. Thanks to everyone who played and helped us continue our mission.  Thanks to you and others like you, this year we have created 67 new one to one mentoring matches for local children facing hardship. We couldn’t exist without your help and support.
