A Message From Maya Stein
My past two summers have been life changing. I found the most loving community of people. The campers and staff alike are incredible people. I've learned so much from the kids I have worked with, many of whom have already lived through so much adversity at such a young age.
Campers at Camp Winston come with a lot of baggage but here they are free to be kids. These magical two weeks (or eight if you're lucky like me and you're staff) are a time to learn new things about yourself, push yourself to new heights and try things you never thought you would do.
This year I taught two kids to ride a bike for the first time. Another one of my campers starting learning how to tie his shoes. All of my campers had countless fun experiences.
This is just the tip of my iceberg of summer experiences. Every child deserves the opportunity to experience this beautiful community.
