Kord and I were matched on November 30th, 2012. Over the last few years, having Kord as my little brother has enlightened me to the fact that everything I do as adult and professional has an impact on my family, significant other, friends, and community. More importantly, Kord and those in his generation look to all of us to provide an example of what it means to be kind, selfless, forgiving, loving, patient, passionate, faithful, strong, open-minded, accepting, hard-working, goal-oriented, honest, trustworthy, empathetic, self-aware, responsible, courageous, and all of the things that make one a decent human being. BBBSKY and MCM brought Kord into my life, and he has helped me mature into the man that I am today; One that is definitely more patient, more understanding, more giving, and one that truly understands the gift of life that God has provided us. Similarly, the programs put on by BBBSKY, and the personal investment that Kord has received over the past few years have resulted in higher grades, more self-confidence (he now refers to himself as a Swagitron haha), and an internal passion to help others in the community at such a young age. Furthermore, all of the hard work my little bro has put forth the past few years has resulted in him being accepted into Trinity High School this upcoming school year! I can't believe it's been almost 6 years!
