A Message From Kim Lunato

I love being able to meet the homeowners and share in their excitement! Like each of us with our first homes, this is such an exciting time for each member of their family! I also love that Habitat loves us as women and wants to help us to be strong, independent and confident!! Working with friends and seeing progress at the end of the day is so rewarding!! I've helped build a deck, lay out a side walk, scrape paint off an old garage that we repurposed, side a house, build parts of a roof, build walls and closets, and more! I've gotten to work along side new homeowners, friends, new friends, and even my awesome Mom!! I can't wait to see what I'm assigned with this house! Please help support me as I raise funds for a home for Lysa Maxwell and her family! Any and every amount is helpful! About This Campaign

About This Campaign

Women Build is a national Habitat for Humanity program designed to provide a comfortable learning environment for women to discover they can build Habitat for Humanity homes!

This year’s Women Build will unite 360 women across Boone County. Each volunteer builder will raise a minimum of $250 contributing to our overall goal of $90,000. Every team of 10 builders will spend one day on the build site completing the home in just 30 days!

The funds raised during Women Build sponsor the land, infrastructure and materials needed for the home, as well as required homeowner education training. With your support we can continue to fulfill our mission of helping hard working, low income families here in Boone County. Thank you!

Meet our homeowner - Lysa Maxwell!

Lysa Maxwell is a delightful young woman whose smile will light up a room!

Her determination and tenacity have served her well. Despite several difficult times, Lysa has amazingly kept her positive attitude and become stronger.

She lives in Lebanon and has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the past 17 years at the Frankfort Hospital....formerly St. Vincent and now IU, working three 12 hour shifts each week. For the last two years, she has worked a second job at the Zionsville Truck Stop, thus meeting her financial obligations.

Lysa has four children----Zach and Sarah who are grown, 18 year old Reilly and 10 year old Tara. She is a wonderful, loving Mom who always puts her family first. As their home conditions were extremely unsuitable, they were able to move into temporary transitional housing......while greatly anticipating moving into their very own Habitat home this fall.
