A Message From Scott Brown

I first came to be involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2014 when I was matched with my "Little Brother" Gabe. I went through the process of screening and interviewing with the professional staff at Big Brothers Big Sisters, and finally was matched with Gabe. During our match we have done everything from gone fishing to seeing the Flyers. We share a sense of humor, so there are lots of laughs too. Shortly after meeting Gabe, I joined the Board of Directors at Big Brothers Big Sisters. With my combined experience of being a "Big" and sitting on the board, I see first hand how mentoring makes a difference in a child's life. I also work closely with the staff and see the struggle for parents and children who want a "Big", but have to wait because the resources aren't there at that time to support a match. It costs Big Brothers Big Sisters an average of $1,200 to support one match for one year. This $1.200 can be one of the best investments to make in the life of a child. I ask you to help me raise the cost to support a match, and help end the wait for a child in our community.

About This Campaign

Join us on Saturday, April 9th 2016 from 9:30 AM to 12 PM at the Cape May County Park & Zoo!

The Wild Walk for Kids is an exciting fundraiser benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters. Walkers come together to have fun and raise money to help provide professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships for children facing adversity.

The Wild Walk for Kids is the perfect way to make a positive impact on our community. Your role in this effort to help local children cannot be over stated: we need your help to raise community awareness of the challenges faced by local children and to help with financial support that is needed to change the trajectory of a child’s life.

Scott, thank you for doing all that you do for Gabe. He's a great kid, and your help will undoubtedly aid his development into the fine young man we know he will become. Thank you so very much...
