People often donate to charities based on current or past personal experiences. An illness or traumatic event may have happened in their lives that caused them to seek the help of a charity and they simply wish to give something back.
This is a picture of a member from the Hualapai Indian overlooking the Grand Canyon Skywalk. The elevation at the Skywalk's location as 4,770 ft (1,450 m) and the elevation of the Colorado River in the base of the canyon as 1,160 ft (350 m), and they show that the height of the precisely vertical drop directly under the skywalk is between 500 ft (150 m) and 800 ft (240 m).
It's wonderful to be together as Relief Society sisters, covenant women in the Lord's restored gospel. Each of you-no matter your age, stage of life, or circumstance-is needed, valued, and loved in Relief Society. Thank you for who you are; thank you for all that you do.
