Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver

Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver

The Jewish Community Centre, established in 1928, is a constituent member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver and a founding member of the original Community Chest/Red Feather Organization, which is now the United Way. The JCC recognizes its role in supporting the dignity of all persons as we work together to improve the quality of life for all citizens of the Lower Mainland. We are proud to be open to all members of the community including those from different religious, ethnic and racial backgrounds. The JCC is a well-established social service organization that has reached out to the general community for numerous multi-ethnic and multi-cultural initiatives, bringing together and serving thousands of people in the Lower Mainland. The centre is one of the leading organizations serving Healthy Heart participants, offering special needs services for stroke victims, cancer recovery patients and osteoporosis victims. Over the years, the JCC has also demonstrated vision and strong community leadership exemplified by the sponsorship and hosting of the first Terry Fox Run in BC. The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver is proud to offer support to families in need and to those less fortunate, to provide financial assistance for children to attend camp, day care and sports programs; and to provide for physical rehabilitative programs and assistance to seniors. The Centre also provides highly successful and sought after programming for adults and children with special needs through our JCC Camp Shalom and Bagel Club.

Walk for Possibility

About This Campaign

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. – Dr. Seuss
