Volunteer Service Trip: Amazon

About This Campaign

The Amazon is our most rustic and adventurous location for volunteers to join our efforts in providing clean water. Once you land in the jungle, you will hop on a canoe, head up the river to a nearby village to do water projects as well as community development. This could include: digging a well, repairing broken wells, teaching hygiene lessons, construction projects, etc. It's a great way to dive straight into the culture as you sleep in a hammock each night and learn first hand about what it takes to dig a well.

Trip Cost and Fees:

  • $1,100 per person
  • Airfare: Purchased on your own
  • Visa Requirements: Free Tourist Visa upon entry into Bogota, $10 cash upon entry into Leticia

*Cost is based on a 10-day trip and includes all food, housing, ground transportation, overseas medical insurance, and project materials. If a trip extends longer than the dates listed a charge of $100/person/day will be charged. A $250 non-refundable deposit for the total trip cost is due upon registration. Balance for all trips is due 60 days prior to departure date. Late payments are subject to a fee. If there are not enough volunteers signed up for any given trip, Wine to Water reserves the right to cancel a trip and will give a full refund.
