Tammie's Turkeys

Hi! I was officially diagnosed with Chiari Malformation I back in late 2011. I was having some crazy symptoms after my Mitral Valve Heart Surger and they thought I have having mini-strokes. My speak was slurred...but never any rhyme or reason what would bring it on... my gait/walk would be all over the place...dizzy, nauseous with nasty headaches. Finally a Nurse Practioner, Ilana Cornelious ordered a CT Scan and the rest was history. I've messed around with damn health insurance which has been so frustrating that I can't get to...not just a good NS but to a great one. So I haven't been decompressed. We've worked on each symptom as it arises... Menieres Syndrome was first... my hearing was progressing pretty rapidly and so I wear hearing aids now... thank God! I just started taking 5,000 mcg of B12 Methylcobalamin which has really helped my energy level... if you test positive for MTHFR, this is the bomb! I work full time still and couldn't just stay at home...so I push myself pretty good ... it's a wonderful life... One day at a time!

About This Campaign

Attention Walkers: Please register as a team or as an individual. If you are creating a team, please click the register team button. In addition, you must also register yourself within that team. (It does not automatically add you to the team).

unite@night is a one mile casual walk, in various locations around the country. This walk brings together people who are suffering with the devastating effects of Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, and related disorders.  unite@night supports CSF Chapters to provide education and increase awareness while funding research projects that can potentially find answers to help those who are fighting these disorders.

This year's unite@night walks show huge promise in helping those suffering from Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, and related disorders. We are so excited to get out there, have fun with you all, and make a difference at the same time!
