Bowl for Kids' Sake 2017

About This Campaign

Bowl For Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters' signature fundraiser. Each year over 500 people across Marquette and Alger County come together to have fun and raise money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters as we change how children grow up! Bowl For Kids' Sake is the perfect way for individuals to make an impact on our community - it only takes a little bit of effort to raise the money that is vital to our program's success. All the money you raise stays right here in the UP!

As a "thank you" for your support and enthusiasm, Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts a celebratory party at your local bowling center. No bowling expertise is required, only the willingness to share in our heartfelt and sincere thanks for helping us transform our community.

Your team can choose from one of our 3 dates:

Thursday April 27th Superior Entertainment Center
5:30-7:30PM
Friday April 28th Superior Entertainment Center
5:30-7:30PM
Saturday April 29th Superior Entertainment Center
2:00-4:00PM
Saturday April 29th River Rock Lanes
4:00-6:00PM
Sunday April 30th Superior Entertainment Center

How can I get involved?

Step 1: Register your team! It’s easy to do online. Just click the join button on the right side of this page!

Step 2: Recruit people to join your team. It could be friends, family, or co-workers. You’ve set an ambitious goal, so choose people who will help you exceed it!!

Step 3:  Start securing donations. Each bowler is asked to raise a minimum of $75 in sponsorships-for a total of $500-$600 raised per team. All of the event expenses are completely underwritten by our corporate sponsors! That means 100% of the money raised by bowlers goes directly toward supporting local children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Step 4: Motivate your team to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters
- Share information about the impact of Big Brothers Big Sisters on your community
- Keep your team informed about incentive prizes, rules, games, contests, etc
- Communicate their success (Katie just got a $50 donation! Joel has already exceeded his goal of $200! Our team just surpassed the $1,000 mark!)

Step 5: Have Fun! Join us at Superior Entertainment Center in Marquette or Red Rock Lanes in Ishpeming to celebrate your team’s success! Remember, it’s not about how good a bowler you are, it’s celebrating the impact the money your team collected will have on your community! There will be door prizes, bucket raffles, 50/50s and more!
