Anne Hornak

Anne M. Hornak is a professor in educational leadership at Central Michigan University. She has been at CMU since 2009, where she teaches courses in theories, ethics, student affairs administration, and social justice. She earned a Ph.D. at Michigan State University in Higher Education Administration. Prior to joining the faculty, she worked at multiple community colleges as a student affairs professional. It was during her time at a community college and then a four-year institution where she solidified her passion for the profession and ultimately teaching in a preparation program. She has been a member of ACPA since 1997 and has served the organization in multiple roles including, state president, commission directorate member, faculty in residence, ethics columnist for Developments, JCSD review board, and coordinator of faculty research grant. Anne has always considered service to the profession critical to her own development, but also that of those preparing to be in the profession. This honor is humbling for Anne as she sees this program as a venue to connect others to the profession. As a recipient of her own scholarship to attend the 1997 ACPA/NASPA convention she knows first-hand the critical role programs like this play in developing our profession.

2019 Diamond Honoree

About This Campaign

The Diamond Honoree Program, established by the Foundation in 1999 is both a recognition program and a fund raising activity. Those nominated for consideration are recognized for their outstanding and sustained contributions to higher education and to student affairs.

The funds raised on behalf of the Honorees are used for ACPA and Foundation activities in keeping with the Association’s purposes and strategic goals. Since its inception in 1999 the program has generated over $100,000.

Donations given to this campaign will also count toward the overall ACPA Foundation's Invest & Transform campaign.

Thank you for your support of the Diamond Honoree campaign. If you wish to contribute to multiple campaigns, at this time credit card payments require separate transactions for each honoree. If you wish to make contributions to support multiple diamond honorees with only one transaction, please mail the ACPA Foundation one check with the total amount, indicating to whom the amount should be distributed and in what portions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
